LFSCART returns after two oval rounds to road course action for the opener of the second half of the season. ITCC champion and provisional Kyoto 500 winner Nolan Scott is expected to drive his No. 16 CoRe Racing car the first time in a race under the LFSCART label.
The first time in LFSCART history we are at Blackwood Grand Prix. The 3,307km/2,055mi long course has got two key points for a successful overtaking maneuver:
1) The entry of Turn 1 after the Start/Finish straight and
2) the long backstraight and the entry of Turn 3. It is going to be interesting to watch how the field passes those two key points during the first few laps, as they can be really dangerous in the Starting Phase.
Rudy van Buren is the leader in the championship by 20 points over Ondrej Maska. In the Team championship XFusion leads by 2 points over Formula Racing.
